The municipal project required the construction of three industrial buildings totaling 75,000 sq. ft. The project consisted of a 37,000 sq. ft. FedEx Authorized ShipCentre, a 28,000 sq. ft. Industrial Cargo Cross-dock Hub, and a 10,000 sq. ft. test facility for the University of Windsor International Border and Logistics and Security Program.
The project is located on the Windsor International Airport Lands, where a former soybean field was developed into this cargo hub, including municipal roadway extension and all site servicing. Site services included storm water management pond, new parking lots and loading docks, and landscaping. The three industrial buildings helped to create a singular distribution hub for the City of Windsor.
