This Construction Management project required blending the natural surroundings of a vineyard with modern structures, which can provide challenges in a traditional construction process. The project consisted of building a new 18,000 sq. ft. structure with a fully-equipped kitchen for banquet facilities, a wine tasting bar, and an outdoor seating area for guests and concert events.
This unique building incorporated multiple structural components such as structural steel, cast in place concrete, hollow core concrete, and cross laminated timber panels. Other features included electrochromatic curtain wall, Eramosa limestone, reclaimed barn board (from former barn onsite that was demolished), high-end finishes and millwork package, state of the art building control system, and extensive landscaping. The result is an award-winning restaurant and wine test facility.
