The St. Clair College SportsPark is described as a game-changer for the collegiate athletic facilities and establishes the institution as a Destination College. The multi-year project saw a complete rejuvenation of the College’s current outdoor sports facilities at the south end of the campus.
The state-of-the-art sports park features the following elements:
- Football/Soccer stadium
- Softball diamond
- Indoor tennis facility
- Sand volleyball complex
A 50-ft lit stylish beacon welcomes you to the multi-sport facility. The LED-lit soccer stadium features artificial turf and comfortable individual-backed seating for 1,500 spectators with stair or ramp accessibility, a 357 square foot outdoor digital scoreboard, and a climate-controlled press box. In addition, the stadium, home to the Canadian Junior Football St. Clair Fratmen team, is complete with; dressing rooms, official and trainer’s rooms, public washrooms, and full concession.
The 30,000 square foot indoor tennis facility comprises four Air-Conditioned courts featuring DecoTurf® along with PlaySight Interactive Smart Courts. The first floor features a pro-shop, concession/lounge, male/female change spaces, and multipurpose rooms. An upper mezzanine was constructed to overlook all courts with a warm-up/fitness area behind the comfortable seating perch.
The LED-lit baseball/softball diamond consists of a full artificial turf playing surface and two spacious sheltered player benches. In addition, the 289 spectator bleacher seating places spectators on top of play. The park also features a fenced four-court beach volleyball complex, complete with a fully functional concession/bar area with picnic table seating, public washrooms, and outdoor sand removal showers.
The state-of-the-art multi-sport facility provides the institution’s 12,000 students and the community with recreation and varsity athletic programming.
