In collaboration with Walker Power Building Inc., Fortis Group took on the role of Construction Manager for a significant historic redevelopment—an intricate undertaking that breathed life into a 100-year-old structure. At its core, the project involved a comprehensive interior and exterior rejuvenation of the venerable building. The initial stages saw complete interior demolition, alongside the meticulous removal of exterior walls to reveal the existing four-story concrete framework.
The external façade underwent a remarkable transformation, showcasing new construction that included carefully curated brick, limestone, and windows. This meticulous work aimed to recreate the original historic charm that defined the building’s heritage. The complexity of the schedule was no ordinary feat, as it demanded multiple milestone turnovers. These spanned concrete restoration, base building envelope, fifth-floor addition construction, and interior fit-ups for diverse tenants.
