As the largest capital construction project to date for the City of Windsor, strategic planning and fast-track execution was required to meet the critical phased completion date. The entire design-build project was completed within 24 months from concept to completion.
This 160,000 sq. ft facility proudly hosted the 2013 International Children’s Games and 2016 FINA Short Course International Championships. Inside is a Natatorium featuring a 71m competition Myrtha Pool with a moveable floor, a moveable bulkhead, and a complete concrete dive structure with 3m, 5m, 7m, and 10m platforms. The Natatorium also includes 800 seat spectator viewing mezzanine and media room.
The fully themed and equipped Adventure Bay waterpark features the following attractions: FlowrRider, Wave Pool, Whizzard, Master Blaster, Lazy River, Pytho, Splash Zone and Activity Pool. The centre also includes, lobby with 2 story atrium, Canyon Cove dry play structure, fully equipped fitness centre, community & meeting rooms, concession areas, administration offices, and fully accessible men’s, women’s and family changes rooms.
