On Behalf of all of Fortis Group we would like to thank everyone for another amazing year! In just 31 months under the Fortis Group name we have completed over 300 jobs and constructed over 4 million square feet. We recognize that none of this would be possible without our clients, partners, and dedicated employees. We also had the opportunity to be involved with many community initiatives such as Habitat for Humanity, Backpacks for Success, United Way, Windsor Goodfellows, and several other local charities. At Fortis Group, we understand the importance of giving back and we take great pride in helping to build a stronger community.
2019 is just getting started and we’re excited to share what we’ve been up to so far!

2019 is off to a tremendous start for Fortis Group! We started the year off strong with the ground breaking of the new multimillion-dollar sports park at St. Clair college in Windsor, Ontario. This is a high profile community project for the Windsor-Essex area and has been gaining heavy media coverage. We’re looking forward to another #BUILDSTRONG year ahead with several new major projects and community initiatives!

Fortis Group was selected by the St. Clair Student Representative Council Inc. for the new sports park in late 2018. We broke ground on the project on February 1st with all project partners involved in the future facility.

Fortis Group is proud to be working with Architecturra Inc., and St. Clair College on this exciting new project. The project includes an artificial turf soccer field and stadium, new tennis academy, and parking lot. The state-of-the-art multi-sport facility will provide St. Clair college students with recreation and varsity athletic programming.

Fortis Group is excited to continue with this community project that will serve the institutions 12,000 students and the general public.

Work is progressing on the new Glen Hill Terrace long-term care facility for Durham Christian Homes in Whitby, Ontario. Fortis Group broke ground on the project in August 2018. We are pleased to be working with OCA Architects on this important community institutional project. The new facility will improve the safety and quality of life for the future residents. The building is being constructed to better accommodate residents with increasingly complex health needs and to create a comfortable at home atmosphere.

This future long-term care facility will be a part of Durham Christian Homes retirement community. The project will add to the true continuum of care offered to residents throughout different life stages. Once complete the facility will allow for individualized, resident-centered care in a modern up to date home.

History is more than just a subject here! Fortis Group is proud to announce we have been awarded Phase 1 of a new French Immersion School in Windsor, Ontario. The historic designated building, the former Playing Card Factory, will be home to a future GECDSB elementary school.

The careful restoration process has already begun as we work towards restoring the building to its former glory while updating to present standards with some innovative new features.

Phase 1 expected completion date is scheduled to be completed later this year. Stay tuned for future drone footage showing the progress along the way.
